Perfect Puppy Classes

Do you have a puppy aged under 6 months and want them to grow into happy confident dogs?
Our Perfect Puppy Classes cover everything you and your puppy need to know including, appropriate socialisation, obedience and lifeskills to ensure a solid foundation before your pup hits adolescence. 

During the 6 week Perfect Puppy Classes we cover:

• Appropriate Socialisation - 

Building confidence around novel items, and teaching how to greet people  appropriately without jumping up and greeting other dogs appropriately using the 3 second rule

• Basic obedience -

Typical obedience like sit, down and most importantly leave

• Loose lead walking -

Walking with loose lead in close proximity of people and other dogs working up to weaving in-between other dogs and people

• Mental Stimulation -

Mental stimulation like food puzzles can help teach puppies problem solving and frustration tolerance

• Settle - 

Puppies will learn to "go to bed" and settle on cue to help teach puppies an off switch

• Appropriate Toy Play -

Teaching puppies impulse control using tug toys by using high to low arousal games

• Recall - 

Recall working up to offlead recall and offlead heel

• Common puppy problems - 

What to do about puppy biting, teething, housetraining, building a food drive for puppies not food motivated and jumping up

You also get a free bag of treats

There is a max of 4 dogs per class so each dog can get individual attention.

Perfect Puppy Classes are based at Acklington Village Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland
