Dog Behaviorist, BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATIONS

Behavioral consultations are available for dogs with behavioral problems ranging from 'bad manners' to complex behavior problems.
We understand that not every dog is suited to group sessions and that some dogs require a more personal touch towards training. Whether this is because the dog is too boisterous for classes, has bad manners, or has a more abnormal or problem behaivor then we are here to help.

Some of the most common problems we deal with are:

Dog Aggression towards people or other dogs
Separation Anxiety
Resource Guarding
Hyperactivity
Excessive Barking
Abnormal behavior i.e. tail chasing and air snapping
Housesoiling problems
Excitability with other dogs or people
Nuisance barking
Jumping up

BEHAVIORAL

After completing the consultation booking form a questionnaire will be sent out, and a full history of the dog will be taking. Once the questionnaire has been returned then the deposit of £50 is required in order to book the consultation with our Dog Behaviorist.

The initial consultations are charged at a one-off set fee, and follow up appointments are available and charged at an hourly rate. It is advised that all family members that are involved with the dog are present for the initial consultation. The initial consultations last two hours, this is so that we can observe the dogs behavior and their interactions with the family, and to determine the reason behind the dogs behavior. We will then work with you and your family to set goals and to implement a behavior modification plan specific to your dogs needs using positive reinforcement dog training.

Following the consultation you will be provided with handouts specific to your dogs needs, and a full written report will be sent to yourself and your veterinary surgeon, all of which are included in the price of £100 (£120 as of 1/8/17). A one hour follow up is also included in the price, and three month telephone and email support are also included.

Behavioral Consultations are available through vet referrals and also to the public. If you are wanting to book a consultation or want more information then contact us here.
